The Hope of The Meadow
Moon 11 - 75

After a moon of adjustment and settling in the clans had found themselves in a territory of bliss. The prey was abundant and the herbs available were as well. It seemed perfect, maybe too perfect? Still, with no sign of Starclan they decided it was time to move on and stop searching for the stars - to choose their own path. With this, the clans changed their names. Shadowclan became Shadeclan, now lead by a loner called Sorrelstar. Thunderclan became Lightclan, Windclan became Breezeclan, Riverclan became Rippleclan. Finally, Skyclan became Cloudclan, they too took on a loner for leader known as Flightstar. With all the change came a surprise, Starclan finally re-appeared and granted the two new leaders their nine lives.

Despite the bliss of the meadows, the half-clan question began to re-arise as the amount of kittens being born rose. This all came to a head as a Cloudclan queen gave birth to a litter of 6 kits, the father being a Lightclan warrior. Depending on the leader of the clan, some of these cats that participated were punished while others were not.

In both Shadeclan and Cloudclan with both having loner-born leaders, they were open to accepting large amounts of loners as warriors. These loners had minimal training and had no real knowledge of the code but were still granted their warrior name. This caused a lot of stir within these clans with clan-born cats feeling angered and outraged that their culture was being disrespected.

During this time both Fawnstar of Lightclan and Sagestar of Breezeclan decided to step down. Respectively replaced by Sparkstar and Ashstar. Just as Sparkstar came to power, Lightclan faced their first foe: a cete of badgers. These badgers raided Lightclan and entirely destroyed the camp and the dens within it, despite that Sparkstar and his warriors fought bravely and pushed them out with a low casualty rate. Due to this, Lightclan needed time to be rebuilt from the ground up which removed them completely from the Half-Clan Question.

When a clan-born warrior attacked the Cloudclan half-clan litter resulting in two out of the six dying and later their father too was attacked and killed, it became clear something had to be done. The clan-born leaders began to crack down, punishing all cats who were involved in cross-clan relations while loner-born leaders continued doing nothing. While the clans were arguing amongst themselves, all bar Rippleclan who wanted no part, the Medicine Cats began to notice something. A dark force was sensed in their territory that seemed to have no point to find it and while it seemed harmless it caused cats to act erratically at times. With all tensions at a high, the clans hit a boiling point.

After what seemed like moons of tension, both loner-born and clan-born cats began to form a rebellion. Some of these cats wished for reform and the code to be held in high standards while others wanted it dismantled and forgotten. After many skirmishes with the rebellion being lead by a murderous cat, many cats began to abandon their clans. This included Ashstar who followed the rebellion leader up into the mountains. There are rumours about these cats, some believe that they would hardly have lived an entire moon up there while others believe they are the fiercest cats to ever roam the territories due to their survival of the mountain. With such radicalised cats still at large, the clans lived in a state of fear due to their potential return. Due to this, the clans moved again to the side of a mountain and into a valley.
